I decided to branch off from my usual blog topics of soccer, video games and movies, to talk about a more senstive and personal subject matter: international/transracial adoption.

Wow, we already have a subject worth talking about. Perfect. A small preview for readers to sample what I'll be ranting about. Apparently "transracial" is not in the spell check database. Transracial is a term I have come to use, and I think most of the adoptee community uses to denote a different racial background of the adoptive parents and the adopted child. Well...to even more of a surprise, apparently "adoptee" is not a recognized word either. That's pretty sad. My very existence isn't even recognized by spell check. Lame. I think that one needs to be added to the official American-English language.

Anyhoos, welcome, and I hope that I am able to provide any readers something to think about. Let the discussions begin. Let the opinions be voiced. Let the rants be heard. Let the emotions flow.
